FAITH FORMATION is a comprehensive program to build inter-generational experiences for all Members - young and old - in an effort to serve all needs while increasing the depth of each Member's faith. Both our Suntree and Melbourne Beach Churches share ideas for integrating everyone more fully into the larger congregation. Inquiries about Faith Formation may be made by email.
MUSIC AND WORSHIP blend together at Advent as we enrich our worship experiences with music. Of course, our musical offerings vary, depending on whether you're attending a contemporary or a traditional service. Either way, the experience is wonderful! You can get involved by contacting our ministry leader.
![]() YOUTH MINISTRIES take many forms at Advent — from the family/intergenerational worship experiences we create to the preschool services we provide on both of our campuses.

We rely on a tremendous team of volunteers to make every worship experience meaningful and rewarding. These volunteers include:

CHRISTIAN SERVICE TEAMS undertake community projects where our time and resources can make a difference. Some of our current projects include...
Operating two church campuses on a day-to-day basis requires dedicated and resourceful volunteers with talents in many fields.
Plus, Outreach Volunteers serve in many and varied capacities to meet the ever-changing needs of the organizations we regularly support (listed above) as well as the special projects we undertake from time to time.

EVANGELISM shares the good news from Advent by exploring opportunities for carrying our message into the community, extending our sincere welcome to everyone, and inspiring others to follow our lead in Christian service. Help us spread the word!

MEN'S AND WOMEN'S GROUP AT WORK!
THE WOMEN'S GROUP at Suntree actively reaches out to the church, the local community, and our neighbors around the globe.
We host a women’s day long study retreat each year. We can also organize and serve at funeral/memorial and other receptions for Advent members. We provide funding for various improvement projects at Advent. One of our long-standing community projects is to provide one dinner each month for residents of the Haven for Children. Our biggest global project of the year is the assembling of school supplies and other donations for Lutheran World Relief. In 2017, we shipped 96 school kits in this effort. All women are welcome to attend our business meetings, held on the 1st Monday of the month, followed by a Bible study. We meet September through May. For questions, please contact Carol Wilson at 321-848-4982 or Phyllis Lanoue at 717-542-3119. |
Advent has a Men’s Group at both Suntree and Melbourne Beach. The Groups are open to men of all ages who are interested in learning more about the Bible and enjoying Christian Fellowship.
At Melbourne Beach, Men's Breakfast and Bible Study meets the first and third Thursday of the month from 7:30 to 8:45 am. We are currently studying Colossians. In Suntree, we meet on the third Saturday of the month at 9 a.m. in the Knoedler Center. We have breakfast, devotions, and a short business meeting to plan events such as our annual Oktoberfest and Christmas celebrations. We also update ourselves on church wide activities and host special presentations on current issues of interest. Money raised is used to support a variety of Advent and community ministries. Please contact Don Hagen if you are interested in coming to a Men's Group meeting. We hope to see you there! |
