Our Youth Ministry exists to welcome, love, and empower the young people of our community to grow in faith and live out their relationships with God, in Christ.

Youth involvement is more than
​something we "talk about."

At Advent, we involve our Youth Members fully in the worship experience, feeling that the richest Christian experience is found while engaged in faith and fellowship with other Christian people of all ages. As a result, our Youth are visible in the worship service as well as many other activities of the church.

Once a month, Youth gather for a time for fellowship and relationship building through events and conversations. From such encounters, our Youth form beneficial relationships that serve them beyond the church's walls.

An annual highlight for our Youth is a summer mission project. In recent years, we've undertaken projects at home (working with Radius Camp) as well as traveling to other locations (such as Tennessee, Canada, and Puerto Rico) to undertake short-term projects that make a long-term difference. This summer we joined 30,000 other youth and chaperones in Houston, TX for the ELCA Youth Gathering! Check out our Photo Gallery to see our trip to Houston!

God's Work, Our Hands

CONFIRMATION 

A regular Confirmation program is available for Youth in 8th grade who want to spend a season of intentional growth and formation as they learn to own the promises made for them at their baptism. The Pastors and the Director of Youth and Family Ministries will provide vital leadership for this ministry.  Youth grades 6th- 8th can participate in other youth events without being in confirmation.  For more information please click here.
